Childhood FRIENDS

Watch a short video below to learn about the sculpture Childhood Friends by artist Marshall Fredericks.

TRIVIA

LEARN

When you look around the museum can you see other relief sculptures?

They are hung on all the walls. Some are very high up and can’t be reached and some are lower where people can see them.

What things do you see in some of these reliefs?

People, and animals: horses, pigs, sheep, bison, machines, cars, and much more. In fact, you can see mostly animals, people and buildings, and geometric shapes.

Think

What types of relief sculpture do you see in your own home?

Do you know you probably use a type of relief sculpture everyday?  Coins are relief sculptures.  Look at them closely under a magnifying glass and you will see a lot of artistic detail.
